Terms of service
1. About These Terms
This website is operated by Lester Roderick LLC (“Lester Roderick,” “we,” “us,” and “our”).
“You” and “your” refer to the person using our website, purchasing a consultation, or placing an order with the atelier.
These Terms explain the conditions applicable to our website, consultations, and garment-ordering process. Please review them before making a purchase or placing an order.
Our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Refund Policy provide additional information about their respective subjects. Garment orders also require a separate written proposal and contract.
2. Website Use
You may use our website for lawful personal purposes, including exploring the collection, contacting the atelier, and purchasing a consultation.
You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorized access to its systems, introduce malicious software, interfere with its operation, or use its content for unauthorized commercial purposes.
When purchasing a consultation or entering into a garment contract, you must have the legal capacity to enter into that transaction.
3. The Collection
Lester Roderick offers bridal garments made to order in standard sizes.
The website presents our collections as an introduction to the atelier. Garments are not available for direct online purchase. Purchasing a consultation does not purchase a garment or reserve production capacity for a garment order.
At launch, collection pieces are offered as designed. Custom designs and design modifications are not available.
We aim to present our garments accurately. However, screen settings and photography may affect how colors, textures, and details appear online. Fabric swatches are provided as part of the consultation experience.
4. Consultations and Scheduling
Virtual consultations cost $75. In-person consultations cost $125.
After purchasing a consultation, you will automatically receive a private scheduling link to choose an available appointment time. Payment alone does not confirm a particular appointment date or time.
The location of an in-person appointment is shared privately once the appointment is confirmed.
Your consultation fee is credited toward your initial 25% deposit when you place your garment order.
Consultations provide an opportunity to explore the collection, discuss your wedding plans, and review the ordering and sizing process. Purchasing a consultation does not guarantee acceptance of a garment order or rush request.
5. Fabric Study Boxes
Your virtual consultation fee includes a fabric study box and its shipping. The box is mailed before your appointment so you can explore the collection’s fabrics during your consultation.
Please provide a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. Fabric study boxes require a signature upon delivery.
For in-person appointments, fabric swatches are provided during your visit.
Further shipment information appears in our Shipping Policy.
6. Rescheduling and Missed Appointments
Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled time. Your consultation fee will be transferred to the rescheduled appointment.
To reschedule, contact studio@lesterroderick.com.
If you miss your appointment without notice or request to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, your fee is forfeited and will not be transferred to a later appointment. A new consultation fee is required to book again.
These provisions remain subject to any rights or remedies required by applicable law.
7. Garment Proposals and Contracts
Following your consultation, the atelier may prepare a written proposal and garment contract.
Your order documentation identifies the agreed garment, selected standard size, confirmed measurements, price, payment schedule, and anticipated timeline.
A consultation purchase or general enquiry does not by itself create a garment order. The requirements for accepting and initiating your garment order will be stated in your proposal and contract.
Please review your order documentation carefully before signing or submitting payment.
If a specific provision of your signed garment contract differs from these general Terms, the signed contract controls for that garment order, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
8. Measurements and Standard Sizing
Lester Roderick garments are made to order in the standard size closest to your confirmed measurements. They are not produced to individual client measurements.
Measurements are taken during an in-person appointment or guided during a virtual appointment. Your agreed measurements and selected standard size are reviewed with the atelier and documented in your signed contract before production begins.
Once the contract has been signed and production has begun, the selected size cannot be changed.
If your measurements change after approval, contact the atelier promptly. Changes in body measurements may affect the final fit and the alterations needed following delivery.
Our Size Guide explains the available size ranges and measurement process.
9. Alterations
Alterations will be needed following delivery and are not provided by the atelier.
You are responsible for arranging alterations with a qualified bridal seamstress. Alteration services are separate from your garment order with Lester Roderick.
All alterations should be completed at least two months before your wedding date. Please account for this when planning your consultation, garment order, and delivery.
10. Timelines and Rush Requests
We recommend beginning your Lester Roderick journey at least 14 months before your wedding date.
Please allow approximately 8 to 10 months from your initial appointment to garment delivery. Including alterations following delivery, plan for an overall process of approximately 12 months, with alterations completed at least two months before your wedding.
These are general planning estimates. Your anticipated timeline will be discussed during your consultation and documented in your proposal and contract.
Orders placed less than nine months before your wedding date are considered rush orders. Rush requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability and an additional rush production fee.
Please contact the atelier before proceeding with a rush request. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
11. Prices and Payments
Website prices are displayed in United States dollars unless otherwise stated. Your proposal and contract will identify your garment price and any applicable taxes or additional agreed charges.
The garment payment schedule is:
-
25% initial deposit to initiate the order and secure the design.
-
50% when production begins.
-
The final 25% before shipment.
Your consultation fee is applied toward the initial 25% deposit, not as an additional discount from the garment price.
Your garment will not be dispatched until the final payment has been received.
Any additional rush fee or other agreed charge will be documented in your order paperwork.
12. Shipping and Delivery
Lester Roderick currently ships within the United States. International delivery is not available at this time.
Garment shipping is included in the garment price. Garments are shipped fully insured, and all packages require a signature upon delivery.
Please provide accurate delivery information and notify studio@lesterroderick.com promptly if your address changes. Address changes requested after dispatch may not be possible.
Tracking and other shipment details are provided as described in our Shipping Policy.
If we cannot ship within the applicable promised timeframe, we will notify you and provide any delay-consent, cancellation, or refund options required by applicable law. General timeline estimates and final-sale terms do not remove those rights.
13. Final Sale, Cancellations, and Wedding-Date Changes
Lester Roderick garments are made to order and are final sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind, subject to applicable law.
Cancellations and other requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, as described in our Refund Policy and your signed contract.
If your wedding is postponed, contact studio@lesterroderick.com as soon as possible. The atelier will review your production timeline and make reasonable adjustments to your payment schedule where possible.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that apply to faulty, misdescribed, undelivered, or delayed goods under applicable law.
14. Delivery Concerns
Please inspect your garment upon arrival.
If your delivery arrives damaged, contact studio@lesterroderick.com promptly with your order details, photographs, and a description of the concern. Please retain the packaging while the atelier reviews the matter.
For a delayed or missing shipment, contact the same address so the atelier can investigate with the shipping provider.
These requests help us assess and resolve concerns and do not limit rights provided by applicable law.
15. Garment Care
Handle your garment with care and follow the care instructions supplied with your piece.
Due to the delicate nature of the fabrics and embellishments, we recommend professional cleaning by a specialist experienced in bridalwear.
After your wedding, we recommend professional cleaning and preservation if you wish to keep your gown for years to come.
16. Intellectual Property
Website materials, including our branding, text, photographs, films, graphics, and design content, are owned by Lester Roderick or used with permission from the relevant rights holders, except where otherwise identified.
You may view the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. Unless permitted by applicable law or authorized by the relevant rights holder, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit website materials.
For permission requests or intellectual-property concerns, contact info@lesterroderick.com.
17. Third-Party Services
Our online store is powered by Shopify. We also use third-party providers to support scheduling, virtual consultations, payment processing, and shipping.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices. Our use of those providers does not exclude obligations we owe you under your agreement with us or applicable law.
Please review our Privacy Policy for information about personal-information processing.
18. Website Errors and Availability
We aim to keep website information accurate and current, but errors or interruptions may occur.
If an error affects a consultation purchase or proposed garment order, we will contact you to explain the issue and resolve it before proceeding. We will not change an agreed garment specification, price, or other material contract term without your agreement or another lawful basis.
We may update collection availability and website content. Such updates do not, by themselves, change an existing signed garment contract.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our website or business practices. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised date.
Changes will apply prospectively. They will not retroactively alter an existing signed garment contract without your agreement, except where required by law.
20. Applicable Rights and Disputes
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If a concern arises, please contact the atelier so we can try to resolve it directly. Doing so is not a requirement to give up or delay any legal right or remedy.
